Sunil Grover has maintained silence over the whole tussle between him and comedian Kapil Sharma. While several reports have been doing rounds in the media, Sunil has always preferred to stay mum. And now, there are reports of him shooting for an episode of the skit-cum-chat programme.
According to a new report, Grover has denied that he has shot an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, and said that it is all a LIE. A report in Mid-Day said that he is focusing on live shows right now and is NOT in talks with any other channel. The same report suggested that Kapil, meanwhile, is shooting for a film these days.
In an exclusive interview to The Quint, Sunil said that he has been doing live shows even before the whole ‘problem’ began, and will continue to do so. Sunil said –
‘I’d advise the soothsayers to put their crystal balls away. The live show in Delhi is a commitment I made much before the problems (with Kapil Sharma). I love doing live shows. I keep doing them all the time. And I’ll continue doing them. The live shows have always kept me going all these years.’
He added that he has liked live performances as he gets a live reaction from the audience. He said –
‘When I am on stage, I actually get to meet and see my audience and their reaction and how they love you. When one is on television, there is no immediate feedback.’
For those who do not know, Grover and Kapil Sharma had a mid-air brawl on a flight from Melbourne after the latter abused and hit Sunil. Since then, there have been reports that are doing rounds in the media including team members boycotting the show. [Here is what Chandan Prabhakar had to say about leaving The Kapil Sharma Show!]
What will happen at last, is yet to be seen.
