Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight is all set to release this Friday, and in a promotional masterstroke, the makers of the film introduced the cute child actor from the movie to the audiences, Martin Rey Tangu. In a press conference held on Monday, Tubelight makers introduced Martin, who hails from Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
Even though Salman and Kabir Khan were present at the event, but it was Martin who completely stole the show and had the audience in splits. A reporter went ahead and asked Martin if this was the first time he is visiting India, assuming he is Chinese. And even though another journalist corrected the one who asked the question, telling her that he was from Arunachal Pradesh, it was too late as Salman had already heard the question. She quickly changed her question to, ‘If this is the first time you have come to Mumbai?’
Martin asked the reporter to repeat the question, but Salman repeated it for him. Salman said, ‘She is asking, if you have come to India for the first time?’
Charming and spontaneous Martin recovered from the question, and said, India? Hum India per hi baithta hai, toh India par aayega hi kaise? (I live in India. How will I ‘come’ to India?)’. LOL! Good one Martin.
Tubelight is set against the backdrop of 1962 India-China War. Besides Salman, the film also stars Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in the lead roles. It will hit the theatres in June 24.
