India certainly lost one of its superstars today morning as veteran actor Vinod Khanna died at the age of 70. He was suffering from advanced cancer of the bladder. He breathed his last at 11:20 am, a month after he was hospitalised for severe dehydration. A picture of the actor had recently gone viral, which showed him in a very weak condition and had shocked the entire world. And the news of his death definitely sent shock waves across Bollywood.
While his family had issued a statement saying that the actor was fine and recovering. His son Rahul Khanna had said that the actor was hospitalised for severe dehydration and the situation was quickly brought under control. He even said that he was doing fine, and the doctors were planning to discharge him soon.

Khanna, who was born in Peshawar, now in Pakistan, was a sitting BJP parliamentarian from Gurdaspur constituency. He studied commerce at Mumbai’s Sydenham College before he became an actor. He started his career as a villain in the late 1960s, but soon started playing leading roles. Vinod Khanna acted in over 146 films, and was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dilwale.
