We bet you’ve heard about insane traffic jams caused by the traffic police due to a VIP movement. Recently, a report about stopping an am balance carrying a patient did rounds in the media, which created a lot of uproar. And in the times like these, a Bengaluru cop did something that is heroic and definitely worth sharing.
Traffic Police Sub-Inspector ML Nijalingappa is all over the internet, and certainly for the right reasons. Do you know what he did? Well, he stopped convoy of President Pranab Mukherjee to make way for an ambulance. Yes, you read it right.
President Pranab Mukherjee was in Bengaluru for the inauguration of Metro’s Green Line, and it happened when the convoy was heading towards the Raj Bhavan. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru cop spotted an ambulance trying to find a way towards a private hospital, and decided to make way for it.
The Bengaluru cop quickly passed on directions to do the same so that the ambulance can move through the heavy traffic on the road.
Later, Deputy Commissioner of Police -Traffic East Division, Bengaluru City Abhei Goyal took to Twitter to praise him, and now Bengaluru Police has also announced a reward for him.
