We all have our cravings, and so did this BJP leader. But now, former BJP MLA Vijay Jolly might never eat golgappas again. Why? Because he got ROBBED due to the golgappas. Yes, you read it right. The incident that happened recently in Saket, New Delhi, in which two bike-borne men robbed the BJP leader of his digital camera, laptop and some documents as Jolly stopped by to eat golgappas.
Well, Jolly, who has been the General Secretary and Vice President of Delhi BJP in the past, was on his way to Janakpuri from his office in Sangam Vihar when he though to stop by and have some golgappas along with his friend. The BJP leader was travelling in an i20 car as they passed by Lado Sarai and felt like having the golgappas, and parked his car on the roadside. And that’s when the crime happened.
They were busy enjoying the snack when a young couple drew Jolly’s attention to the car. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the BJP leader said –
‘The right window at the back was shattered. My bag containing a laptop, a digital camera, my flight tickets to Cambodia and some documents meant for senior BJP leaders were missing.’
Some people who were around the area told him that two men on a black Splendor motorcycle took his belongings and that the bike did not have a registration number. The BJP leader said –
‘I walked around a little to find the Splendour motorcycle without a number plate parked near a liquor shop. The two youths were walking towards the bike with alcohol bottles in their hands… I chased them for some distance and I was very close to nabbing them but a bad traffic ended my chase. The thieves sped away on their bike.’
He then called the police, who then took his statement and registered a case.
