This brother-sister duo printed fake Rs 2000 currency notes worth a whopping Rs 2 crore. And guess how? They used a mere scanner. Yes, you read it right. Well, these engineers used just a scanner to print the fake notes and duped several people.
Twenty-one-year-old B.Tech student Abhinav Verma and his 20-year-old cousin Vishakha Verma were recently arrested in Chandigarh. After their arrest, it was known that they started printing the notes at a smaller scale, and when they were able to dupe people in the markets, they decided to take it to another level.
They not only duped six black money hoarders but even bought a second hand Audi worth Rs 20 lakh. The duo has an office in Chandigarh from where, fake currency worth over Rs 3 crore was retrieved.
The brother-sister duo is currently under police custody and investigations are on.
