Blast in Bhopal-Ujjain train : Over a dozen people were injured in a blast in an Ujjain-bound train earlier this morning. According to reports, the blast occurred at around 9:50am in the first coach of the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train between Jabri and Kalapipal stations near Shujalpur in Madhya Pradesh.
However, no casualties have been reported so far, but over 12 people have been reported injured. The train came to a halt and three compartments of the train reportedly derailed after the explosion.
The reason could not be ascertained but initial reports said that it was due to a short circuit. Injured passengers were rushed to Kalapipal government hospital. Some locals saw the smoke engulfing the general coach of the train and helped in the rescue.
