Jet Airways and its founder-chairman Naresh Goyal has filed a civil defamation suit seeking a whopping Rs 1000 crore against an investigative journalist Josy Joseph. Well, as interesting and exciting as investigative journalism sounds, it has a lot of challenges.
And our report is about one such challenge. Josy Joseph, who is currently with The Hindu and has also previously worked with TOI, was sued by Jet Airways. Why? Because of his recently released book – ‘A Feast of Vultures’.
In the book, he has mentioned about the alleged links between the airlines and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. And Jet Airways, for obvious reasons, couldn’t digest it.
