We bet you all remember the MP cop Daulatram Jogawat, who was fat-shamed by controversial columnist Shobhaa De back in February. [Shobhaa De tried to troll Mumbai Police. And how they responded is worth a read] He recently grabbed headlines when there were reports that he had undergone a bariatric surgery on March 2, and was since recuperating at his home.
Although he was hospitalised against some days after the surgery, but he is doing much better now. He has lost around 15 kg in 41 days, and has resumed duty. He currently weighs 164 kg, and doctors believe that he will lose about 80 kg in a year, which will improve his overall health.
The MP cop has resumed work now, and looks much fitter than ever. He is riding his motorcycle with much ease. The cop is on a liquid diet right now and takes moong dal, butter milk and papaya juice for breakfast. When asked about his health, Jogawat said that he feels healthier now, and he is doing everything that doctor advised him. Bariatric surgeon Dr Muffazal A Lakadwala said that he will be able to reduce about 80 kg within a year, and health issues like hypertension and diabetes will also go away.
According to the doctor, this surgery costs about Rs 3.5 lakh, but he was treated for free. It all started after Shobhaa De’s tweet after which the MP cop informed her that he wasn’t just fate, but had health problems.
Here’s how he looks now…
