In the deadliest attack on the security forces in Sukma this year by the Naxals, 25 CRPF jawans were killed and six were wounded. The area is close to the Chintagufa-Burkapal-Bheji-axis, which is the hotbed of Naxal violence. Politicians were quick to condemn the attack, and BJP President Amit Shah started his three-day long outreach programme in West Bengal.
He dared the ultras with a befitting payback after what they did in Sukma. He said –
The attack on our jawans in Sukma was an act of cowardice. If they think that we will bow down after such attacks and leave the battle midway, they are highly mistaken.
And it reflected the respect BJP has, for our security forces. But is it really what it looks like? Well, at a rally in West Bengal, Amit Shah was seen addressing a gathering where he spoke to some of the CRPF jawans. And the way of speaking was just not ‘respectable’.
A Facebook page ‘Unofficial: Subramanian Swamy’ uploaded the video which showed the BJP President speaking to the jawans from the dais. Watch the video, and decided whether it was the right way to do it.
So, what do you think?
