We all know that the Narendra Modi government has built several toilets as a part of their Swachh Bharat Mission in various parts of the country. And no matter how much they promote it, the scheme has not worked that well. Why?
Well, simply because of the reason that people in this village of Chhatarpur are using their toilets as kitchen and grocery stores. The toilets were constructed as a part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission, but could not be completed. And therefore, people converted their toilets into kitchens and grocery stores.
One Dinesh Yadav of Kodan village said that they gave the money to the Sarpanch of the village but the job was left unfinished, and that they still go out to attend nature’s call.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, a labourer of the same district did not use the toilet, and converted into a grocery store instead.
Additional district magistrate (ADM) Chhatarpur and in-charge CEO Zila Panchyat DK Maurya said that there have been some problems in the implementation of the scheme and strict action will be taken against those who will be found guilty.
