Facebook is one social networking site, which has now become a part of people’s daily routine. And due to the activeness of the users on the site, there are reports of people’s pages being memorialised’.
Well, over the past few hours, Facebook has been declaring a lot of its users dead on their FB pages. Why? Actually, its because of a bug.
Yes, you read it right. Do NOT panic, as this was just a technical error, which changed many profiles into ‘memorialised accounts’, leaving their loved ones in shock and tears.
Around two million people on FB were declared dead and the word ‘remembering’ was attached before their name. And the list including Fb CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and other verified users.
For obvious reasons, people took to Twitter to share and mourn.
Facebook is telling all my friends we're dead, which is appropriate because I had a feeling we were all in hell anyway. pic.twitter.com/0WPGi95omv

In an update, Facebook said that it was a ‘terrible error’, which has already been resolved.
Here’s the statement: ‘For a brief period today, a message meant for memorialised profiles was mistakenly posted to other accounts. This was a terrible error that we have now fixed. We are very sorry that this happened and we worked as quickly as possible to fix it.’
