This is the battle of personal assistance in our smartphones. In the early days of Android, we just had the Google voice assistant on our phones. In 2011 we were introduced to something similar on the iPhone called Siri. So, regarding the question is where they are compared to each other.
They are both Pret regarding telling the weather or opening any app by name on the phone for you, but when you tell them to start a timer, Siri wins by a split second. The geo-location tasks especially work very well on both when they know where your home is. While saving a reminder, Siri asks you whether you wanna save it whereas the Google assistant saves it right away. If you ask them a company’s stock price, Google Assistant will just tell you the answer whereas Siri will also show you a graph along with the answer(Also Read: Hacked Photos Of Emma Watson And Amanda Seyfried Posted on 4Chan).
In terms of answering questions, if Siri does not know an answer, Siri just googles it or searches the web and gives you that. Google is more conversational than Siri. This is a big pro of it. It can use context clues to talk about what you were previously taking about where Siri might not remember it. Siri always gives more information than what you ask for whereas Google only says the answer. If you ask a question from Siri, it needs more details to know the answer.(Also Read: WhatsApp text status returns in its recent update. Here’s how to get it!)
Google assistant is a little behind Siri when you want to know the name of a song you played. When it comes to talking Google likes to talk a lot. Google is better at catching the phrases you speak while Siri misinterprets them sometimes. Siri is better at showing pictures of anything you ask for than Google assistant. Google excels at talking but it’s a little more robotic than Siri. Siri is funnier than google, it amuses you sometimes.(Also Read: New Phone Launched By HP Can Be Converted To Desktop; This Phone Is Not Just A Phone)
Google has a much greater general conversational flow, because (of it’s outstanding AI), so, you can ask it about previous answers and clarify stuff. It just feels more like talking to another person.
So, that was it, it’s interesting to see how far these both technologies have come since their beginning and it would be interesting to see how it looks in 2020.
