We all knew about the new venture of Arnab Goswami, called Republic TV. The channel has gone LIVE today, and no one can stop talking about it. Nearly five months after Arnab quit Times Now, the much-talked about Republic TV has finally gone ON AIR. Former Editor-in-Chief of Times Now started with a monologue, in which he thanked his viewers for showing patience towards his new venture.
His first exclusive was about Lalu Prasad Yadav. He launched Republic TV with an alleged expose into connection between RJD Chief Lalu and criminal-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin. The channel aired an audio clip, which it claimed was a conversation between the former Bihar CM Lalu Yadav and the former Siwan MP. In the clip, Lalu could be heard taking instructions from Shahabuddin on police action to be taken during the violence in Siwan.
After the expose, #LaluTapeExposed started trending, but Twitter had opinions about the channel as well. Twitteratti reacted on Arnab’s new channel, they were mixed reactions.
While several congratulated him, there were many who offered him advices, and then there were others who just trolled him.
Congrats and best wishes to Sh Arnab Goswami and his team on the occasion of launch of #Republic TV.
