The social media is brewing with e heart-rending story of an auto driver, who is forced to carry his two-year-old son to work every day in this scorching summer. And while several thought that there is something fishy with it, many others noticed the pain of the auto-rickshaw driver. Mohammad Saeed, who is a resident of Versova village, has been carrying his son – Muzammil – to work every day, as his wife Yasmin is left paralysed after she suffered a stroke.
The couple has another three-month-old girl, who is being taken care by a neighbour. And while the neighbour says that he can only accommodate one of his children as he has three children of his own, Saeed is forced to carry Muzammil with him.
The one who highlighted Saeed’s story is filmmaker Vinod Kapri, who urged people to help him.

He said that he came to Mumbai 10 years ago to find work, and now he plies a rented auto-rickshaw for which he has to pay Rs 400 a day. He added that he works almost 24 hours a day, and makes sure to visit his wife every two hours or so to make sure that she is taking food and medicines properly. He said that he carries his son along so that he can ensure timely food supplies to him, as he cannot afford external help.
Hours after the story was highlighted, Saeed has Rs 30,000 in his bank account. People have even offered to babysit his children. Even doctors have promised that they will treat his wife for free.
