Readers of the national dailies ‘The Times of India’ and ‘The Hindustan Times’ woke up to an ad featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But it was not a ‘Swachh Bharat’ ad.
PM Modi featured in a Reliance Jio ad. In the launch on Thursday, Reliance did dedicate its Jio 4G plan to PM’s Digital India campaign, but the Reliance Jio ad came as a surprise to everyone.
The ad read: ‘In the journey of time, there come a few life-changing movements. Our Honourable Prime Minister’s inspiring visiion of a Digital India is one such movement. Jio is dedicated to realising our Prime Minister’s Digital India vision for 1.2 billion Indians.’
It obviously did not go well with the Twitteratti. And needless to say, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was one of the people who did not lose a minute to taunt PM Modi.
