Its 2017, and we, as a nation, are still fighting hard to keep our women safe. From workplaces to outdoors to even your own homes, we are not able to assure our women that they are in safe hands. Women are being exploited everywhere and we bet that you come across at least one story of eve-teasing or molestation or rape on a daily basis.
In the light of recent allegations of molestation against TVF founder Arunabh Kumar, this issue about women safety has resurfaced yet again. We stumbled upon a poem by a young girl, Aranya Johar, which is about the gender discrimination that is prevalent in India. She touches upon every aspect of their safety, and how they actually feel.
Titled, ‘A Brown Girl’s Guide to Gender’, is nothing about that a girl won’t relate to, because we are sure, unfortunately, all girls have faced this at some point in time or other.
What do you think?
